City and Provincial organisers for the “Let’s play for Madiba” international invitational soccer match between local stars AmaZulu FC and English stars Manchester City, say all is going according to plan for the big game. The Match kicks off on 18 July 2013 at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium, 20H00 and tickets are on sale at Computicket.

He said there is great excitement and anticipation for the game that is in honour of our great icon Madiba. “This one is for Madiba. We can honour his life, his legacy and his greatness, by making sure we pitch in our numbers at the stadium on 18 July 2013 – Mandela Day and Tata’s 95th Birthday. Both teams are looking forward to playing at the stadium that is one of the best in the world. We know that they are really excited.”
“Ticket sales are going steadily and we urge all fans out there not to leave things to the last minute. We also remind fans that kick off for the game is 20H00 but that the gates to the stadium open at 17H00.” He said final parking and route plans, which as is customary for any big game at the stadium, will be communicated across all media in the region.
The international friendly match between AmaZulu and Manchester City is to celebrate Madiba’s 95th Birthday. Players of both teams will make special public appearances prior to the game. Ticket prices range from R150, R250 to R350.
