The Port of Durban in partnership with eThekwini Municipality will on Friday, 11/10/13, launch an Environmental Awareness and Clean-up Day at the Bayhead Natural Heritage site.

Bayhead Natural Heritage site is an area of regional significance from a conservation point of view as it covers an area of about 20ha.

The purpose of the clean-up will be to promote the conservation of our natural resources, and highlight the ecological and economical importance of the mangrove swamps and coastal grassland. The City will work in partnership with a range of stakeholders in an effort to jointly ensure a clean and well maintained environment. The details of the clean-up will be as follows:
