The MEC of the Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs Department, Ms Nomusa Dube and His Worship the Mayor, Cllr James Nxumalo invite members of the media to attend the official opening of the Sustainable Living Exhibition on Friday, 06 September 2013.

The exhibition is organised against the backdrop of our population that is vulnerable in terms of water, poverty, health, food security and climate change amongst others. It is imperative that our communities adopt a move towards sustainability and this exhibition raises awareness of how that can be done.

The Exhibition will showcase more than 200 exhibitors and their innovations that inspire sustainable living. Everything from water and energy conservation, renewable energy, and ozone friendly appliances, to waste minimisation, organic gardening, and social justice organisations will be on display.

The opening will be followed by a tour of the exhibition and an open forum on sustainable energy in eThekwini and KZN.
