The Municipality invites members of the media to the JT Gumede Lecture & Dialogue to be hosted by the Municipality’s Library and Heritage Department.
The lecture and dialogue intends to analyse the role of civil society and develop strategies which can address the societal degeneration, while also encouraging dialogue through peaceful means and political tolerance.

This is in an effort to encourage communities to participate in the social transformation of our society. The dialogue and lecture will attempt to investigate the strategies that society can engage in towards nation building.
The Speakers will comprise of Mr Sifiso Kunene of the Democracy Development Programme and Democracy Education Forum; Mr Nkosinathi Mdali of the South African National Civic Organisation and Dr Nonhlanhla Hlongwane of the Independent Electoral Commission.
