It is all systems go for the double-header matches as South Africa take on Angola and Morroco vs Cape Verde tonight at the Moses Mabhida Stadium and all tickets have been sold out!
The two matches promise to be a bumper showpiece, as the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium will b filled to capacity with the sounds of vuvuzelas and jubilant spectators.
Soccer-lovers who will not be able to come to the stadium should not despair, as the Public Viewing Area (PVA) at Durban’s New Beach will be open for members of the public to watch the games live on a big screen. Other PVAs that will be open around the Province are situated at Esikhawini College, Esikhawini; TB Molefe Sports Ground, Port Shepstone and Wardley Stadium, Pietermaritzburg. All PVAs will be open from 16H00-23H00.
People coming to watch the games are urged to arrive early, so as to eliminate traffic congestion. Also note that Masabalala Yengwa (NMR) Avenue is closed from Sandile Thusi (Argyle) Road up to Smiso Nkwanyana (Goble) Road points/ intersections. Battery Beach Road and Isaiah Ntshangase (Walter Gilbert) Road is also closed.
The following areas have been reserved for parking for those attending the games:
• Drive-in site parking for minibus taxis/ buses and the general public on the area between Stalwart Simelane (Stanger) St and Sylvester Ntuli (Brickhill) will be open for free use.
• Free parking at Natal Command Site 1 and 2 will be open to the general public.
• Paid parking for the general public will be open at Suncoast Casino.
• Free parking at the Mr Price Stadium will be open to the general public (access off Goble-Jaco Jackson Road only).
• Free parking at the Centrum Parking will be open to VIP and the general public.
• Parking for hospitality and commercial affiliates will be available at Mustering Field (access off Sandile Thusi Road only)
