With the highly anticipated Orange Africa Cup of Nations tournament drawing nearer, the Municipality would like to urge the public to go out buy tickets in their numbers to ensure that we fill the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium during all the games that will be hosted there. The Municipality wishes to use the tournament, which is set to kick off on the 19/01/13 until 10/02/13, with some of the group stage matches and one semi-final scheduled to be played at Durban prestigious Moses Mabhida Stadium, to prove to the world that Durban remains Africa’s playground and a major events and sporting capital.
The Municipality would like to urge all eThekwini residents and the general South African public to go out and purchase tickets to show their support for the national team and all the other teams that will be based in Durban.

It is therefore the responsibility of the people of eThekwini to come in their numbers in order to show support for this initiative and to ensure that the tournament is a success by going out and buying as many tickets as possible so that the stadium will be full to capacity and rally behind our teams.
