Strategy

To provide effective support in the provision of high quality Personal Health Services, which is an integral component of Comprehensive Primary Health Care.

Objectives

  • To capacitate staff to provide Comprehensive Primary Health Care
     
  • To co-ordinate and facilitate the clinical training requirements for internal and external learners.
     
  • To promote seamless referral between levels of care by having regular meetings and strengthening communication between different levels of care.
     
  • To monitor and evaluate implementation of programmes by usage of health information, conducting audits and obtaining feedback from stakeholders.
     
  • To monitor cost – efficiency of health services by assessing cost per patient, drug usage patterns and promoting rational drug usage.
     
  • To ensure that an equitable package of health care services is provided at all health care facilities
     
  • To promote the smooth integration  of priority programmes into the services by :-
     
  • Monitor the quality of the clinical service by the performance of regular audits, with operational managers, and work on remedial strategies in partnership with others.
     
  • Integrate complementary and traditional healing into the personal health services, to fulfill the provision of a comprehensive package of care. 
     
  • Strengthen the delivery of Health Care within the ambit of the District Health System by facilitating and sustaining linkages with referral facilities.
